What is a Chakra?

  • Chakras serve as storehouses and transmitters of Universal Energy, each representing distinct frequencies. They interact with the electromagnetic energy field, collectively transforming into the energy that sustains our life.

  • The direction of energy flow—Divine down into the Earth or Earth up into the Divine—is both cyclical. Analogously, like photosynthesis in plants, our bodies receive energy from the Sun and the Divine. This energy travels through us, grounding us to the Earth before rising back through our bodies to the Divine.

  • While we have 114 Chakras, only 7 are the main energy centers running along the spine. These 7 vortices can split experiences into seven facets based on focus, spinning and cleansing, or being blocked and in need of recharging.

  • Think of Chakras like a building with 7 floors. Each floor offers a different view, expanding perception. The synergy of all Chakras creates a harmonious structure, akin to a well-maintained building with clear windows.

  • Chakras act as batteries for energies around us—receiving, storing, and expressing energy. Malfunctions can lead to discomfort, lack of energy, fear, or emotional imbalance. Thankfully, everyone has functioning Chakras, described as spinning vortices not physically visible due to their non-physical nature.

  • To fully experience a Chakra, presence and detachment are essential. These energy centers permeate all aspects of life, necessitating consistent maintenance for optimal functioning

  • The energy connecting the Chakras is Kundalini Shakti, moving like a serpent up and down from Root to Crown Chakras. This connective energy allows the Chakras to work together with each other. Stimulating Chakras can remove blocks and facilitate better energy flow between them.

  • Music and frequency play a large roll in the stimulation and clearing of Chakras. We will explore music as we dive into each Chakra. Notably, however, the enjoyable rhythm and bass in music, like in rock concerts or drumming in a drum circle or a shamanic journey, can resonate with the Root Chakra. However, without practices like Kundalini meditation, breathing techniques (Pranayama), and mantras, this energy can remain trapped.
